Kozhikkode: Salim Raj,formerly serving as Gunman to Chief Minister,is under arrest in the case of attempted kidnapping on a woman who eloped with her boy friend.Along with him six others are also under arrest, one is accused in a visa case.
Salim Raj who got suspended on solar issues , where attacking a man blocking a car at Karikkamkulam near Kozhikkode, the passerby who noticed the incident informed the police.Riju Ibrahimkutty alis Raphi of Gateway appartments,Pettah,Trivandrum,Irshad,the Youth Congress mandalam President of Kulashekharapuram,Karunagappally Youth Congress Mandalam Secretory Junaid,Car Driver Siddiq, Shamnad of Ochira, and Sathar are the ones arrested along with Salim Raj.The woman they tried to kidnap is the relative of Irshad.
Kozhikkode North Asst. Police Commissioner Prince Abraham and team are the police team who arrested Salim Raj.The arrest is in the case of trying to kidnap Rasheeda Beevi of Chagankulangara Edayila house,who eloped with her boy friend Prasannan.The woman went from home taking money and gold worth lakhs.It was those who were trying to recover the gold and money got arrested by the intervention of the local people.
Abdul Vahab who is a NRI had given the complaint that his wife Rasheeda Beevi is missing from 2nd of September ,to the Ochira Police.Prasannan who was there in the house as a helper also was missing.The complaint says Rasheeda took the money on sale of 4 cents of land and 75 sovereign of gold.
