Kannur: Following the Special branch report on wide spread tensions in the state on the siege proposed tomorrow by LDF, security measures are increased in Kannur district.300 member central force are arranged in the district. It is two companies of Border Security force and one company of CRPF, deployed for the security.
Police decision is to deploy these forces to the different parts of the district in case of emergency.Police has also strengthened the search for LDF workers who had received warrants in criminal cases in relation to political strikes or commotions.Fearing the arrest many are in hide.Police gave notice to tourist bus owners asking not to transport the agitators. Notice gives warning to the bus operators that if they brings back those are charge sheeted in Trivandrum in criminal offenses,they will be arrested in charge of helping the accused to escape.
