Thiruvanthapuram : Left Democratic Front (LDF) convener Vaikom Viswan told that they will not allow any one to enter the Secretariat till the Chief Mister Oommen Chandy Resigns. He also informed that the siege which starts on August 12 will have all the prominent leaders of LDF and its Allies participating in it.
The protest demands the resignation of chief minister Oommen Chandy and a judicial inquiry into the solar scam. There is no compromise on the demand and the activists will block all the four gates of the Secretariat till the chief minister resigns.
He also added that after the solar scam news broke out, the State administration has come to a standstill. They were only concentrating on how to hide the chief minister’s involvement in the scam. And hence the LDF agitation will not create an administrative hindrance. In Kerala’s history no other chief minister had a situation like this. Some say the agitation is to sabotage the government and Mr. Chandy’s declaration to suppress the agitation sounds like the voice of an isolated administrator and betrayed his contempt for democracy.
