Within few minutes of film actor Ramya filed her nomination papers, as congress candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha by poll, her foster father R.T Narayan died following a massive heart attack.
77 year old Narayan an industrialist had accompanied Ramya to the Mandya Deputy commissioner’s office on Saturday to file her nomination. Around 2 pm she had filed the papers in the presence of Housing minister M.H Ambarish. After the nomination process When Ramya was talking to the media outside the Deputy Commissioners office, Narayana collapsed on the ground following a chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital. It was a massive heart attack and he breathed his last around 5.45 pm.
Narayan was her guiding force and his death has devasted Ramya. Since the age of 5 years she has been with him and she is very close to her foster father. This will effect the campaigning of the party.
