Thiruvananthapuram: Minister K.C Jospeh says the reason for infant death in Attappadi is because of the alcohol consumption by woman during pregnancy. Alcahol consumption in tribal villages is common and woman and children are there in consuming liquor. It is impossible to maintain health without reducing the liquor intake said the minister.
In Attappadi liquor consumption is very common even among pregnant woman. This has to be controlled.The Government will all the possible for the welfare of tribal’s. Lack of funds will never be a problem. The minister’s statements came just after the controversial statement from Chief Minister that the child death are due to non intake for food and not by hunger.
Chief Minister repeated his statement that the death are not due to hunger but because they refuse to take proper food. He also said he is the Chief Minister who works among the people and that’s how he had the news.
