Chennai : The legendary Music composer Ilayaraja’s son and Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has converted to Islam. Yukan Shankar himself has informed the media about this decision. He told that he decided to convert to the religion as he has lot of respect towards it and after reading and understanding lot about the religion
He also added that he will follow all the rituals of the religion like namaz and prayers . He is also thinking of going for a change of name.
He said that he had informed his father about his decision to change his religion. Initially his father was shocked but later he got reconciled. My family supports my decision and there is no misunderstanding between him and his father. He also told that he did not change the religion under any kind of pressure from any body.
