Director Ranjith says that He will withdraw from this years International Film Festival (IFFK). This decision is the protest against the non inclusion of his latest released film ‘Njan’ in the international competition section. The authorities have included the film in the Malayalam Cinema Today Section. But the director wants the film to be included in the Competition Section.
The film which was included in the competition section is ‘Sahir’ and ‘Asthamayam’.
Rajiv’s film Njan is based on the Novel ‘KTN Kottur Ezhuthum Jeevithavum by T.P Rajeev. It explores the various levels of human psychology. “Njan” is scripted and directed by Ranjith and has Dulquer Salmaan playing the main lead. Besides Dulqur , Suresh Krishna, Renji Panicker, Joy Mathew, Muthumani Somasundaram, Hareesh Pareday, Anumol, Jyothi Krishna, Shruthi Ramachandran and Irshad plays the significant roles. The film was released on theater on Friday.
