Director Mani Ratnam’s movie is a dream project for almost all the actors in the film industry. But here Vikram has rejected Mani Ratnam’s project thrice. Mani Ratnam and Chiyaan Vikram had paired in the movie Raavanan, in which Vikram had performed very well that has led to many controversies. Vikram had revealed that he had been part of 3 different movies of Mani Ratnam.
Vikram was called for a screen test with Manisha Koirala for Bombay but Vikram said that since he was terrified with the still camera and the continuous stream of instructions from Mani Ratnam frightened him and he ultimately denied the offer.
Secondly he rejected the offer as Swarnamalya’s fiancee role in Alaiypayuthae and Nanditha’s husband role in Kannathil Muthamittal as he was afraid that he would always get stuck up with these type roles.
