Vikram K Kumar’s “Manam” First Look Poster with News


While still assisting ace director Priyadarshan, Vikram K Kumar’s Silent Scream was a ten minute long silent motion picture that won the Award for the Best Educational/ Motivational/Instructional Film at the 46th National film Festival held in 1999. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu Ishtam, introducing Shriya Saran to filmdom. His bilingual horror movie 13B (Hindi) and Yaavarum Nalam (Tamil) starring Madhavan and Neetu Chandra made waves for its style of film making. Following this, he did a Telugu film, titled ishq - starring Nitin and Nithya Menon. This film turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. He is currently working on the biggest film of his career yet, Manam. This film stars 3 generations of the Akkineni family - Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The film is produced by the home banner of the Akkinenis, Annapurna Studios. Apart from the men, the film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shriya Saran as the female leads. In addition, the film features the comedic talents of legendary comedians such as Bramhanandam, MS Narayana, Aali and others. The film assures to be a laugh riot - a family entertainer with the usual Vikram Kumar touch. The first look of this film releasing today, 20th of September, coinciding with the 90th birthday of Shri Nageswara Rao.
