VD Satheesan is a member of Kerala Legislative Assembly from Paravur Constituency and a member of the Congress (I). Presently he is the AICC Secretary and KPCC Executive Member. His started his political career from the Students organizations. In the 12th Legislative Assembly he was having the Congress Whip post. He got highlighted by the political protest against the illegal operations of other state lotteries in Kerala.
