Trissur:Circular on increasing the toll rate in Trissur -Edappally National High way has been issued at Paliekkara.The new rate will come in to existence from 1st September.For two way Car and Jeep have to give Rs.95/- and light commercial vehicles have to give Rs.165/- as per the new rate.For Buses and other commercial vehicle sit is Rs.330/-. Presently it is Rs.315/-. Large Construction Vehicles it will be Rs.530/-
This year this is the second time that the toll rates are increasing.Since the rate is more than that could be afforded and the road conditions are pathetic ,coming days may witness wide protest.
