Trivandrum: Sex accused Thettayil’s resignation has become a real headache for the LDF. Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan is dead against the decision taken by the Janatha Dal to protect Thettayil politically and legally. On the other hand, CPM had taken a decision earlier not to discuss this matter in the united front. Initially when the sexual allegation started, the CPM was of the opinion that Thettayil resign his MLA’s post. On a second thought they decided to leave it to the parent party of Thettayil viz. Janatha Dal. And finally the Janatha Dal decided against his resignation. The decision was endorsed by the LDF and the CPM secretariat. But if they fail to convince the CPI and Achuthanandan,Thettayil will be forced to resign in the end
