The new circular in place of the old controversial child marriage registration circular is not totally flawless. The All India Lawyers Union President B.Rajendran has filed a petition in the court saying that the new circular which mandates the registration of all marriages without any age limits will be highly harmful to the society. This is likely to be taken up by the court on Wednesday. This new circular dated 27th June would help legalize all illegal marriages done till now, alleges the petition. This new circular will encourage legally banned child marriage. So this needs to be nullified, demands the petition.
