The Letter Sent By Pinaryi to Lavlin Smells Foul.


Thiruvantapuram – The CBI special Court says that the letters sent to Lavilin by CPM (I) General Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan smells foul. The amount of the financial assistance has not been mentioned in the letter. The court questioned why the tender was not invited to renew the Electricity schemes and whether the interest benefits has been checked .The charge sheet mentions that there was no technical expert in the high level delegation that visited Canada and the supply agreement was reached without getting sanction from the government. The CBI also said that Pinarayi had not considered KSEB secretary’s suggestion for reaching an agreement rather than having an understanding with the company.

At the same time Advocate M.K. Damodharan , the Lawyer of Vijayan has mentioned that the case is the part of political conspiracy and the Canada Visit is only to discuss the loan issue. For this it is not necessary for the technical expert. The deal does not mention any conspiracy. The persons who are doing this are deliberately doing to spoil his future in Politics.
The CBI had submitted the Charge sheet on 2009 . The case is based on the agreement signed by the government to renovate Pallivasal, Sengulam and Panniyar projects. The deal was finalized when Viajayan was Power Minster in 1997. He was the seventh accused in the case.
