Thiruvananthapuram: The day and night strike launched demanding Chief Ministers resignation will end on Sunday night. In order to make the strike more strong and effective they are shifting the protest mode to Siege on 12th August. LDF will launch siege, indefinite blockade of the secretariat and concentrate all the forces at the capital. Their plan is to bring more than one lakh people to the capital to intensify the protest.

The new mode of protests of blocking the secretariat will start from August 12 morning demanding the resignation of chief minister Oomen chandy and a judicial probe into the solar scam. Thousands of protesters from different part of the state will participate in the siege. This has been instructed to all district committees also. In contrary to the view of some alliance party, to utilize the opportunity to sabotage the government, the LDF has come with the demand of changing the Leadership of the government. The demand is that Oomen chandy has to be removed from the Chief Minister’s office. By removing Oomen chandy from the leadership the government leadership will face the uncertainty. Then considering all other problems the situation will lead itself to the elections. All the members of LDF is supporting VS Achuthanandam resolution to remove Chief minister Oomen chandy from the leadership.
