Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister Oommeen Chandy told that steps have already taken to repair the damaged roads due to heavy rain. Chandy said that road repair works would begin immediately and those instructions had given to public work department officials to repair the roads at the earliest. He said that the state would also seek help from the federal government for road repairs.
Chief Minister said that an investigation will be carried out where the roads were damaged within a year of construction. And the contractors who laid those roads will be responsible to repair the roads. If they are refusing to repair the same then the government will blacklist those contractors and also will take action against the government staff who approved the quality of such roads.
