Solar Case; It Is Not To Have A Sitting Judge For Inquiry: High Court


Kochi:The five member Administrative Council including the Chief Justice decided not to give a sitting judge to inquire about the solar case. The decision was conveyed to the state government in writing.
At present the Kerala High Court have only 27 Judges.Since there are 9 vacant Judge positions not filled, it was sure that sitting judge will not be available for the inquiry.Usually the practice is to have the service of retired Judges in these circumstances.
The High court decision came while the dispute on including the chief minister’s office within the scope of inquiry,continues between the government and opposition.
