Thiruvantapuram – The LDF Sponsored Secretariat Siege is to begin on Monday 12th August and the Government is making unprecedented security arrangements to spoil the indefinite stir.
In the capital Beverages Corporation outlets and bars in the district were asked to down shutters from 6 p.m. on Saturday itself.
In order to face the agitation the government has opened special 24 hour control room has been opened in the secretariat. The phone 0471-2327176, 2325992, Fax 0471-2325992. The Chief Secretary has directed that under no circumstances employees will be granted leave. No one will be allowed inside without Identity Card. Steps have already been taken to carry the employees from select points to the secretariat on KSRTC buses . The service will be from Railway station, Jawahar Nagar, Melaannur, and Vikas Nagar .
