Kochi : Kerala High court has ordered to probe against the Chief Judicial Magistrate Judge R.V Rajan against the procedural lapses. The case will be probed by High court’s Vigilance
The complaint was issued by BJP General secretary K Surendran and A Jayashankar, General secretary of the Indian Association of Lawyers , Kerala requesting to take disciplinary action against the magistrate
The complaint stated that the magistrate has not immediately recorded the confidential statement given by Saritha S Nair the main accused of the solar scam . This incident has become controversial also. Magistrate C.M Raju instead of recording her statement immediately, asked to give a written statement later.
High court also criticized the police for taking her immediately to custody and thus making hindrance to take her statement. The complaints alleged that by doing this the magistrate has given the government an opportunity to sabotage her statement. And hence requested the high court to look into it and take disciplinary action against the magistrate. |
