Producer unhappy with the certificate approached the censor board for U certificate. Recently one Dahnush movie to got UA certificate on first attempt. But the producer applied again for U certificate and the authorities after review gave U certificate. This was the inspiration for Thalaiva's producer but this time the revising committee did not oblige. Vijay, Amala Paul, Santhanam are the main actors in the film Thalaivi.
