Murali was an Malayam Film actor, author and Television Actor. He was born to P. Krishna Pillai and K. Devaki Amma at Kudavattoor. He did his schooling from Kudavattoor L.P School and Thrikannamangalam S.K.V.High School. Degree from Devaswam Board college Sasthamkotta Trivandurm and his L.L.B Degree from the Trivandrum Law academy. After studies he worked some years as Lower Division clerk in the department of Health and then as Upper division Clerk in the office of Kerala University.
During this period he started to act in films. Once he got actively involves in Films he resigned his job and fully got involved in his career. For the past 10 years before his death he was suffering from diabetic and was under treatment. He died on August 6th. 2009. He was also the chairman of the Kerala Sangeeth Natak Academy.
On Acting : When he was studying at Kudavattoor L.P School he has acted in one of the drama scripted by his teacher. This is the first time he started his acting. He also got involved in Natyagriham.
Politics: He was a supporter of Left Democratic Front. In 1999 he contested in the Lok Sabha polls as a LDF contender but lost.
Film Career: Murali debuted his films with the lead role in “Njattadi” directed by Bharath Gopi. But the film did not get released. He then got a chance in Film “Chidambaram” directed by Aravindan. He then acted in movies like Meenamasathile suryan and Hariharan’s Panjagni. His tamil film “ Athavan “ is his last film.
