Mohanlal to become Brand Ambassador for Satyamev Jayate


South Super star Mohanlal will join with Aamir Khan as the Brand Ambassador for the upcoming season of the issue – based tv show ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Mohanlal will join the show as brand ambassador for the second season of this television show which has become one of the most impactful shows . In the second season of the programme Mohanlal will introduce te topic for the day before every episode. Mohanlal has been brought in as the new addition in the show in south, which will help it to reach out to a larger audience of the country. Mohanlal also expressed happiness to be the part of the programme that has struck a cord with the common man and works for the betterment of the future. He also told that the show highlights various social issues that are relevant to people across the nation. The concept of the sow is very noble and an initiative of this nature requires each one of us to come together, Mohanalal said.

Udhay Shankar CEO of Star India Said that the issues raised by Satyamev Jayate are of national importance. Keeping that in Mind they are delighted to have Mr. Mohanlal on board for the coming season. His iconic association with the show will help garner greater support for the cause of the show and reach out to a larger audience base across the country.

Star India is the television partner of the show. The show will be telecast in the channels like Star Plus, Star pravah, Star Vijay, Asianet , Star Utsav and Doordarshan starting from the first week of March on all Sundays every week at 11.00 am. The show which is actually made in Hindi will be dubbed into several other regional languages of India like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, English, Bengali, Marati, and Punjabi and will be telecast in various channels.

The Show Satyamev Jayate Season 1 created history in the Indian Television History. It created humungous amounts of buzz, won cirtical acclaim from the industry leaders and activists . It marked the debut of the method actor Aamir Khan on the small screen. It also marked the debut of social activism television in India. His inimitable and methodical approach towards exposing society’s malaises helped the show to become a house hold name. The show has mainly dealt with the issues faced by the women and back ward classes in India. It mainly focused on the issue of female foeticide in the india, child sexual abuse, dowry system in India, threw light on the frail health care system, unacceptability of love marriage in Indian culture, honour killing, domestic violence, effect of pesticides on peoples health and environment, issue of alcoholism in society etc. It main aim is to engage viewers with its hard focus on tackling ills which plague the Indian social system. Aamir has traveled for one year all over India to make this series. This is the sequel to the 2012 telecast show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
