Gems of Hindustani Classical Music, Flute Legend Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, internationally famed Percussionist & Drummer Trilok Gurtu and Vocalist Shubha Mudgal performed together for the first time in MHARO-PRANAM a Tribute to Shobha Gurtu a classical cum fusion concert at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai on December 30th 2014. The late Shobha Gurtu, as all know, was the finest Thumri singer of India and one of the most popular artiste since early sixties of the 20th century Blessed with a powerful yet mellifluous and emotive voice, Shobhaji used to enthrall the audience by singing some of the best semi classical repertoire comprising Thumri, Kajri, Dadra, Hori etc.
