The upcoming film Varsham is directed by Ranjith Shankar Casting Mammootty in the Lead role for the first time. Asha Sarath, Mamatha, TG Ravi, Govind Padmasurya, Sudheer Karamana, Sajitha Madathil, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Sunil Sughada are the other stars in the film. The main location of the film is Trissur.
Mammootty will play the role of Venu, who lived in foreign country for so many years and returns to the home town and get settled with family. Asha Sharath will play the role of his wife Nandini in the film. This couple has a son Anand who is Plus one student. And this role is played by Master Nabeesh.
