S S Rajamouli's Tamil and Telugu bilingual film titled Mahaabali in Tamil, has wrapped up a major schedule in Ramoji Film city, Hyderabad. The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati with Ramya Krishnan, Satya Raj, Naaser playing major roles in the film.
The film is a big budget period action drama. So far, the team has shot for more than 60 days and with this schedule most part of the interior scenes have been completed. Sabu Cyril, the production designer of the film, had built five sets including royal bedrooms, royal durbar hall in which plenty of scenes were shot. The film unit will now move to Kerala for nearly three weeks shoot.
Mahaabali’s team recently released the first behind the scenes video of the film which also had a glimpse of the hero Prabhas as “Mahaabali” on the occasion of his birthday. Now, the team is going to release the first ever behind the scenes video featuring Anushka and it is going to be released on November 7, on the occasion of Anushka's birthday. This is the second time that she's acting in an S S Rajamouli's film. In the past, Anushka had acted in S S Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu, which was remade in Tamil as Siruthai, and the actress is all praises for the entire team. "It's a pleasure working with Rajamouli and his team. He's a taskmaster and extremely hard working, but when we see the result we forget all the pain we go through while shooting a scene. Honestly, I can't believe we shot for more than 60 days already," Anushka said.
Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are producing the film under Arka Mediaworks banner. Veteran film director and producer K Raghavendra Rao presents the film. Maragadhamani is scoring the music and Vijayendra Prasad has written the story. KK Chendil Kumar is the cinematographer and V Srinivas Mohan is the VFX Supervisor. P M Satheesh is the sound designer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor of the film. Madhan Karky has written the dialogues and Peter Heins is the action choreographer. Sabu Cyril, Sanath PC are the production designers. Rama Rajamouli and Prashanti Tipirneni are styling the film. S S Rajamouli is handling the screenplay, apart from directing the film.
The Telugu version has been titled as Baahubali. Mahaabali is planned for release in 2015.
