Kochi : The film Liar’s Dice directed by Geetu Mohandas received Special Jury Award at the 18th Sofia International Film Festival in Bulgaria. 212 films from 54 countries was in competition in the film festival. Geetu said that she is happy that her film got recognized in the international level and her aim is to make the film reach in as many festivals. She also told that the film will be released in India this year.
This is the only Indian film which got screened in the Sundance Film Competition. The film Stars, Nawazuddin Siddiquui, Geetanjali Thapa in the important role. The film is based on the Hilly Village Chitkul in the Chinese border. The film follows a young woman who embarks a journey with her daughter to find her missing husband. The camera of the film is handled by Geetu’s husband Rajiv Ravi. Liars Dice is Geetu’s First Feature Film
