Thrissur: For getting three cents of land , two lakhs have to leave their native land.  Because it failed to identify land for the applicants of state government’s zero landless project, in their respective districts.  To the applicants from Trivandrum to Calicut, the new notice is to inform their willingness  if ready for land in Kasargode There are 3,65,095 applicants in the state for the project. Government identified 2,23,032 as eligible.

But failed to identify the land require for allotment to this much of people.The maximum applicants were from Trivandrum. 39,636 applicants. But could identify only 3228 plots for them. Least number of applicants were from Wayanad, 4179 applicants but only 926 will get plots allotted here. Only in Kannoor and Kasargode the authorities could identify land in number more than applicants. Thats the reason for the notice inviting their consent to move to these places.

Official sources said one lakh people will be allotted land at first stage and for those who are not willing to leave their domicile district will be considered later.
