Thiruvananthapuram :LDF Siege asking for the resignation of Chief Minister ,started.LDF followers from the different parts of the state got assembled before the three gates of Secretariat.The formal inauguration of the agitation will be by CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat at 10 in the morning.CPI general secretary Sudhakar Reddy and Janatha Dal (S) leader and former prime minister H.D Devagowda will address the workers in inaugural function.
The city is on peak of tension as LDF is determined to make siege a success and Government is equally bound to handle the situation.Cantonment Gate is under police surveillance. Chief Minister and other ministers entered inside the Secretariat by 7 in the morning. All the roads leading to Cantonment Gate is under police control.Police took the charge dividing the city to five regions.The police squad of almost 500 members as the first layer security team took the position inside the compound wall of the Secretariat by Sunday noon itself.
