Kulamavu: Land slides again in Idukki. This time in Naliyani near Kulamavu. No causalities. Forty families are shifted to safer places. Land slide occurred in 4 acres of land. This was due to the heavy rains this morning says the officials. Police and revenue officers are taking initiatives to shift people from the effected areas. In the incident there is heavy loss on agricultural crops.
At the same time Army is continuing their rescue operations in Cheeyappara were landslides occurred yesterday. KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala visited Cheeyappara today morning. He said more help should be given to Idukki by the Center. He also added reports will be given to the Congress president on the calamities in Idukki. Reviewing the rescue operations in Idukki, a meeting is being held today afternoon under the leadership of District collector. Collector said no complaints received on man missing so far.
