Kaththi Review

The film Kathi directed by AR Murugadoss starring Ilayathalapathi Vijay in the Lead got released on yesterday on Diwali ( 23-10-2014). Vijay will be playing the dual role in the film and the heroine is Samantha. The film Kaththi is ten times stronger than his earlier film Thuppakki. The director hightlights the famers problems in the country. The film has an interesting plot which shows the problems of the poor village famers of Thennuttu in Tirunelveli. The exact reason why the poor farmers are not getting sufficient water to do farming in their fields, the role of the corporate companies, the social activist named jeevanadam (played by Vijay ) questions it and fight against the a large corporate, and the situations and the pressure he handles and because of this he has to do the disguise, and the character named Kathiresan or Kaththi, who resembles the jeevanandam and how he steps into Jeevanandhams shoes and leads the fight against the coroporate forms the crux of the story and it is told in an interesting way. The punch dialogues, stunds, comedy and moreover Ilayadalapthi’s brand styled Song sequence has lead the film into success. If murugadoss has taken the film with so other hero then the film will not get highlighted. When we see the film, we are reminded of so many issues in Kerala. Vijay has executed both the roles superbly. Samantha was okey with her part. The comedy star Sathis does not have much to do. Dubbing of Neil Nithin Mukesh is good. In many places his acting faltered but it cannot be taken as a mistae. There are so many elder characters in the film and the acting of everyone has to be highlighted. The background music has scored brilliantly. The music of Anirudh was a disappointment. He did not rise up to the mark. The film has the best cineamatography and the film was filled with beautiful visuals. The songs of the film is really good. The song sung by Yesudas on the climax of the film is excellent. On this day of Diwal which signifies victory of good over evil or of light over darkness, the film will not disappoint the fans who loves commericial films, especially vijay fans .
