International Film Festival Curtain Raising on 6th : 83 Films From 58 Countries

Trivandrum: Kerala International Film festival will begin on 06th at 06.00 pm by the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy lighting the lamp. Cultural minister KC Joseph will preside over the meeting which will be held at Nisaagandhi. Famous actress Sabana Asmi will be the chief guest.
Catalogue of the festival will be opened by Minister VS Shiva Kumar, giving it to Manju Warrior. Festival bulletin will be opened by Chief Secretary EK Bharath Bhooshan. K Muraleedharan MLA will receive it. Spanish director Karlo Sora will be honoured during the program for his many contribution to the cinema industry.
In the light of Indian cinema celebrating its 100th anniversary, an entertainment program will be conducted after the inauguration program. Following this, the inaugural picture ‘Ana Arabia’ directed by Israel director Amos Githa will be shown.
83 movies from different cultures around the world will be shown during the festival which include ‘Closed Curtain’ by Jaffer Panahi who is under custody in Iran, ‘Mobias’ of Kimki Duke, ‘Heli’ of Amath Eskalaanta which earned him the best director Award in the Cans festival.
