Actor Suresh gopi got confirmation from the central government that he will be appointed as National film development corporation chairman. His appointment order as nfdc chairman would be issued today. If so then he would the first malayalee appointed to take over this post.
The film development corporation got established in 1975. It has its headquarters in Mumbai. This position is equivalent to the Minister of state position.
