Vijay TV fame DD marries Srikanth (stills)
Chennai, June 30 (TruthDive): Popular Vijay TV anchor Divyadarshini (alias DD) tied the knot with her long-time friend Srikanth Ravichandran in Chennai on Sunday, 29 June.
Srikanth Ravichandran is a Chennai-based film maker. He had assisted ace director Gautham Menon and he has plans of directing his first movie very soon. Both Srikanth and DD knew each other very well for more than five years. The parents of the pair knew about their friendship and they wished to take their friendship to next level.
DD made her television debut at a young age. She was just 13 years old when she entered TV. She has hosted several reality shows on Vijay TV like “Boys vs. Girls”, “Jodi Number One”, “Super Singer T20” and “Home Sweet Home”.
DD, a favourite of many TV viewers bagged Tamil weekly Ananda Vikatan’s Best Female Anchor award in 2013, second year in a row.
Last month DD announced about her wedlock. She tweeted, “I am very happy to announce that I will be getting married very soon to my best friend srikanth arranged by the parents. please do shower me with your blessings”.
DD’s wedding took place in a traditional manner in the presence of friends and family members. Both the bride and the groom looked well in their traditional outfits.
