New Delhi: It is almost sure that Ramesh Chennithala will join as minister. The details of the discussions had with Mrs. Sonia cannot be disclosed now but made Mrs. Gandhi aware of the current situations in Kerala politics; said Chennithala to the media after his meeting with the Congress President. Report says he had agreed to Ms. Soniya’s proposal to join the ministry. It is indicated that he may be getting the Deputy Chief Ministership itself but the final decision will be formally announced only after Oommen Chandy joins them in Delhi.
Report says, steps are initiated to convince Muslim League who are adamant that they won’t leave the claim on Deputy Chief Minister ship. Indications are that Ramesh will be getting portfolio of Revenue and Sports. Present revenue Minister Adoor Prakash will return to his earlier portfolio of Healh and V.S Sivakumar who presently holding Health will return to Transport.
