Canadian duo Josh create a special remix of Priyanka Chopra’s Exotic

India’s celebrating Priyanka Chopra’s debut single “Exotic” by creating remixes that cater to the diaspora worldwide. The track, which has been featured on prominent US outlets including Entertainment Tonight,E! News, and celebrity blog Perez Hilton, has led to Canadian duo JoSH to produce a remix inspired by Priyanka’s Indian roots. JoSH is a prominent band among the massive South Asian diaspora in Canada, India and Pakistan. They were the first North American based band to win MTV India’s “Best New Artist of the Year Award,” and have won over 25 awards for their music over the past 12 years. JoSH was the first South-Asian band to successfully collaborate with a Grammy-award winning mainstream artist, Nelly Furtado - their remix with Furtado, which was entitled "Powerless DESI REMIX" charted in many parts of the world including India. Their recent track "Mahi Ve" sat at #1 for six weeks on UK’s BBC Asian Radio and won MTV Pakistan’s “Best Song of the Year Award.” Says Priyanka Chopra,"Its a huge compliment and its a really cool desi mix - I loved the work they did on Nelly Furtado's Powerless and their desi twist on Exotic is really impressive ,especially the Hindi rap bit."
