Home Minister catches the molester of a girl.

Changanasseri: The molester of the girl on the way to her home was caught by the Home Minister himself and handed over to the police. Sasidharan (54) of Kannaseri Parambu in Chengannoor was the culprit who got arrested.
The incident occurred around 1.30 pm on Saturday near Thuruthipalli on the M C Road. This girl along with her friends were going back home from the church after a betrothal. Sasidharan who came across there, tried to molest a girl of 12 years from among them. The home minister was passing that way in a car at this time. He happened to see this and he along with the gunman got out from the car. By this time the culprit was on the run. The P A and the gunman followed and caught the culprit. On the minister’s request Changanasseri S I Joy Mathew and his gang came to the spot and arrested Sasi.
The Home Minister waited on the road till the police came to the spot. He instructed the police take the statement from the girl and register a case. Accordingly the S I took a statement from the girl’s mother.
Afterwards a lady S I from the Kottayam Women’s cell came and collected details from the girl. A case has been registered against the accused and he will be produced in the court on Sunday morning, said the police.
