Hyderabad : Famous Malayalam actress Kalpana 51 passed away on Monday. She was seen unconscious today in Hyderabad hotel where she was staying. She was soon rushed to the Apollo hospitals there but before reaches the hospital she was dead. The doctors declared brought dead. The medical reports shows that the death was caused because of cardiac arrest. The actress was undergoing treatment for heart and liver related diseases. She went to Hyderabad for a Telugu film shooting. She got National Award for the Best supporting actress for her performance in the film ‘Thanichalla Njan’ and she is known for her comical roles. She had acted in more than 300 films. Her last film is ‘Charlie’ directed by Martin Prakkat. She is the daughter of V.P Nair and Vijaya Lakshmi who was the theater artists. Actresses Kala Ranjini and Urvasi are her sisters. She has done lot of comical characters alive on screen.
