In the movie directed by Rajiv Nath which has been named Rasam with Mohanlal and Indrajith as central actors, a heroine from the gulf, Varuna Shetty of Mangalore will pair with Indrajith. She will don the role of daughter of the character R J Menon donned by Devan.
It was RJ Menon,s desire to conduct his daughter’s wedding in the gulf in full Kerala custom. Menon is a famous entrepreneur in the gulf. He was very particular about having a dinner prepared by the king of culinary Unnikrishnan Namboothiry (Indrajith). He brings Namboothiry to the gulf with this intention by the help of his close friend (Mohan Lal). The movie progresses through the unexpected incidents that follow. Varuna came to the big screen through a Thulu film Neeral. She has also acted in many music albums and a tamilmovie, Mandalanagaram.
