A sequel to the Ramu Kariat’s Classic film Chemmeen is going to happen very soon. The sequel film Uthara Chemmen will start from the climax of the earlier classic Chemmeen. The new plot of the film is the difficulties face by Panchami ( Karuthamma’s Sister) to bring up Karuthamma’s son. According to the reports the actor Madhu who played the lead character in the old classic will also be the part of the new film. Geeta Vijayan will play the character of Panchami.
Biyon of Parankimala and Kunthapuram Fame will play the lead role in the film. Aniba Hassan who achieved success through Mohanlal Starrer Drishyam will be the female protagonist. The film also has a long star cast. The film is directed by Benny Asamsa under the banner of Himukri Creations. The film is produced by Haridas Hyderabad. The story is by Hariharan Kadunga and the dialogues and the screenplay is by Cherthala Native P.S Kumar
