Hyderabad: The legend of Telungu movie industry Akkineni Nageshwara Rao (91) passed away due to cancer on 22nd at 2.45am. He was a prominent figure in the Telungu industry for 75 years in the role of an actor as well as producer. He was popularly known as ANR in the movie industry.
ANR has acted in more than 250 movies in telungu, tamil and hindi. His debut performance was through the movie Dharmapathni in 1941. He has astonished all through his female acting. He was awarded the Dada Sahib Award considering his valuable contributions to the film industry. He was also awarded the Padmashree as well as the Padhmabhooshan. Telungu superstar Nagarjuna is his son along with 4 other children. The new actors of telungu movie Sumanth and Naagachaithanya are his grandchildren.
