Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming romance comedy film Chennai Express is directed by Rohit Shetty for the script of K Subaash. The film casts Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone on the leading roles. After the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om, Deepika and Shah Rukh are collaborating together in this film. The film shooting began by the end of 2012 and is expected to release by the end of April 2013. The film is scheduled to be released on 8th August 2013. The film is produced by Gauri Khan under her production banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
