Shooting of the film Rudramma Devi is progressing in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Directed by Guna Shekar, and having Anushka in the
title role, Rana and a host of top actors are part of the big-budget
film. The film has Ilaiyaraja composing the music while Thota Tharani is taking care of the art direction.
Meanwhile Guna Shekar was keen to get Mahesh Babu to assume the role of
an important character – Gona Ganna Reddy. Despite the hero having
high regards for the director, he has avoided to be in the film for
two reasons. The role is a small character and secondly the film is a
lady oriented one. But it is said that Guna Shekar is in no mood to
give up.
The latest is that actor Ravi Teja has envisaged interest in
acting in the role and in all probabilities Ravi Teja will be part
of the project. Even Guna Shekar seems to be happy that he has got
another hero to do the role. Initially Ravi Teja has worked with Guna
Shakar as his assistant director and recently they worked together for
the film Nippu.
