The upcoming new film titled Rasam directed by Rajeev Nath will get released by January 23rd by Max lab. Superstar Mohanlal will be seen in a cameo in the film. He will be playing himself in the film.
Vasudevan Nambooripadu is an expert cook and runs a catering service. But his son Balu Played by Indrajith does not have good opinion about cooking profession and is reluctant to take his fathers tradition of cooking. Shekhara Menon , a business man wants to have his daughter Janaki’s wedding in a Kerala traditional way . so the Super star Mohanlal is a close friend of Shekara Menon and hence he Invites Vasudevan to take up the catering for the wedding reception of his friends daughter. He reaches Gulf for the job assigned for him . But circumstances force his son Balu to take over the responsibility from his father.
Nedumudi Venu Plays the role of Vasudevan Nambooripadu and Actor Indrajith Plays the role of Indrajith in the film. Devan will be playing the rold of Sekhara Menon. Varuna Shetty will play the female lead in the film.
The screen play of the film is jointly written by Sudeep, Rajiv Nath and Nedumudi venu for the story written by Sudeep Kumar. The dialogues are written by Nedumudi Venu.
The film revolves around the story lines of restaurants, catering services, food and taste. The major portion of the film is shot at Gulf country.
