Director KS Ravikumar and Rajinikanth will be collaborating for an upcoming film and this was in news for quite some time now. The director has named the film as ‘Lingaa’ and the shoot of the film will be started by May 2nd. The film will have two leading ladies Sonakshi Sinha the bollywood actress and south Indian actress Anushka Shetty.
Rajni’s family has some connection with the name of the film. ‘Lingaa’ is the name of Rajinikanth’s grand son. The second son of Dhanush and Aishwarya and the fans consider this name would be lucky for the superstar.
It is a long time dream of KS Ravikumar to do a project with super star Rajanikanth. Earlier he had started a film titled ‘Rana’, but thhe film had to put on hold in the mid way because of Rajinikanth’s poor health.
Music for the new film will be scored by AR Rahman. Photography is handled by Ratna Vel who worked for ‘Enthiran’. The Kannada Actor Sudeep who came to lime light by playing a fabulous villain in the film Eega will be coming as villain in the Rajini film.
