Ponmudi (The Golden Peak) is a hill Station which is an extension of the Western Ghats and runs parallel to Arabian Sea. This hill station is located in the Trivandrum District of Kerala which is km north – east of Trivandrum City. This hill station is an important point of contact to the Kallar River which is known for its crystal clear water, fishes and trees surrounding it. Nearby tea-gardens add beauty to this place. You can go for Trekking and Hiking in the lush mountains . Agasthyar Hills is close to it and passes are available in the month of January and February.
