The Palaruvi Water Falls is situated in Thenmala in Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. This water falls is near to the Tamil Nadu border about 5 kms from Aryankavu. .The word meaning of palaruvi is ‘stream of milk’ and this waterfall is given this name because it looks like a stream of milk. It lies in the Thenmala ranges between dense forests and is across the kallada river.
It is the 40th highest waterfall in India.Palaruvi waterfalls is one of kerala’s most scenic waterfalls. The best time to visit this waterfall is in the months of june – January as during the summer it runs dry. Palaruvi is now one of the safest and an amazing forest picnic point in southern Kerala.Special bathing places for Ladies and Kids are arranged downstream the main . From 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening you can enter the waterfalls and premises.
