Trivandrum: The police Director K S Balasubrammaniam has ordered to suspend the license of intoxicated drivers irrespective of whether they cause accidents or not. This order is based on the assessment of the road accidents taken place between January and May this year. After suspending the license prosecution also will follow. Inspection of helmet wearing has to be made stricter. While issuing permits to trucks and private buses Motor Vehicle Acts and Rules have to be strictly followed. If not the officers responsible for it will be punished, says the order.
