The favorite star of Malayalam film industry Mammootty celebrated his birthday unexpectedly in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. He celebrated his birthday at a function held in Kochi organized to launch vision 2020. This is a program organized for a cause that aims to make Kerala a cataract free state. The organizers of the programme were Dr Tony Fernandez , Susheela George, under the Yoshua Charitable society. During the program the organizers has announced the birthday of the star unexpectedly. Even though, the birthday was on the next day. The organizers brought a birthday cake to the stage giving surprise to Mammootty. Kerala chief Minister Oommen Chandy also attended the function. The organizers brought in the cake to the stage after the Chief minister and the actor has given their speech. In the cake it was written as ‘To Malayalam Superstar Mammootty Best wishes by Chief Minister’. Minister K Babu, MLA’s Joseph Vazhaikkan, Haibi Eden also wished the super star.
