M Mukundan’s Novel to Convert to Film


Sahitya Academy Award Winner M Mukundan’s Novel Haridwaril Mani Muzhangunnu will be made into film. This would be a bilingual film which will be released simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil. Prominent Producer Rajiv Menon is making the film. The name of the Tamil version is titled as Haridwaril Mani Osai. The film deals with the life of youngster whose life takes a big change after he reaches haridwar.

This is the first time Rajeev menon dons the director’s hat. He says that since a critically acclaimed novel is made into film, he has to do it with utmost care and hence he himself will be penning the screenplay. Not only that he feel honored to make his debut In direction with the critically acclaimed novel.

Rajiv is also the president of Tamil Nadu State Boxing Association.

The film sources revealed that In the Tamil Version Vishal will be playing the main lead and in Malayalam either Dulqur Salman or Fahad Fazil Will be approached for the role.
