Thiruvananthapuram: Chief whip P.C.George expressed his consent to resign .For this he sought the consent from Kerala Congress leader Mr. K.M Mani. He will meet Mr. Mani today.
UDF had put pressure on P C.George to resign following his open comment that Chief Minister have to resign on his own, made yesterday.
The comments he made yesterday became controversial and K.M Mani rejecting them absurd, led P.C to a situation to offer his resignation. But he explained that he had expressed his consent to resign one week back. Following the problems in the Alliance created by the controversial statements made by P.C.George, K.M Mani himself gave the note to P.C on the same. It is in this situation that P.C expressed his consent for resignation.
